Now, how to get a friend in trouble: wait till her mom calls and then, when she's on the phone trying to sound all adult and composed, send her pieces of RP smut you've just written. I highly recommend this as both a distraction technique and one that's just plain fun to do.
Then let her explain to her mom why she's laughing.

Oh, I'm in mourning for all the sleep I'm about to not get any more: Hannah starts school tomorrow. I'm good, I have her emergency paperwork done and all the contact number stuff. Tonight we're going to a "meet the teacher" thang and then tomorrow it begins. She's kind of excited about it, which is good. And me, I'll be busy. I have many clients this week, so I'll just be running on empty. And let's hear it for those gas prices! We drive 60 miles a day, getting her to school and back! It will be so much fun! I'll trade in the ultra-safe mid-range-on-gas-efficiency thing for a Previa or something.
Soon. I was going to try to get 2 more years on the car. It only has 118,000 miles on it.
Jasmine just licked the cheese off a Cheeto Puff. Mmmmm.
A deer just ran through my yard and headed up the driveway. Beware of cars, little girl. The deer (these are mule deer) are so pretty. I haven't had a lot of them in the yard this year, but this is either the second deer today or this one's just going in circles. Could be. We have more than enough blackberries for her to eat.
