Home again, home again

Wow. That was a really fun vacation. I walked A LOT and moved A LOT and had A LOT of fun and Hannah is just the right age to be enjoying a place like that. She's still little-kid-enough to not roll her eyes completely at the characters as they walk by, but big enough to want to ride the California Screamin' roller coaster over and over and over. And that, my friends, is a big roller coaster and it turns you upside down.

I say my favorite attraction is still Tower of Terror, because I love the free-fall aspect of it. It was a kick to ride that by myself, sitting in the middle in the back row with nothing to hold onto because the people on either side of me were hanging on for dear life. Just let your bodies rise in the freefall, boys and girls; gravity will unfailingly bring you back down. Just enjoy it. If the lines had been shorter, I'd have gone a third time.

So I like things like that, but hate ferris wheels: why is that?

I'm very glad to see my cats again, and am trying feverishly to catch up on friendslist entries. If I've missed something since Monday (entirely likely, as I spent very little time online during our trip) and you want me to notice it, point it out here.

Oh, and roleplayers, on behalf of _dragon_fang_, I would like to point out this thread. I know it's tacky in the extreme to pimp my own stuff, but I liked writing this after my hiatus. I've been waiting for just the right time and tonight, the opportunity was too good to pass up.
