We Survived Back-to-School Night!
Sep. 7th, 2004 09:25 pmOh, I was up way too late last night... till about 3, but I had to chat to my girlfriend. (Yeah, you know who that is.) And then a client called at 9 this morning (some nerve). And then I took Hannah to have her fingernails and toenails painted because tomorrow is the first day of school and she wanted orange fingernails and candy-apple-red toenails. And McDonald's. And we came back here and got ready for the back-to-school thing. She was SO happy to get there and be around her fellow schoolmates again; you'd think she was in a nunnery or something all summer. She was glad to see her classmates, her teachers, everybody.
In other news, the vet called with the results of Stones's bloodwork and pathology reports. He said his CBC looked good and all his organs are functioning normally, but he's highly anaemic and dehydrated. The test for cancer was inconclusive, although he thinks we still might be looking at that. On the other hand, it could just be a sign of a very long-term infection. So... we're starting him on antibiotics tomorrow and getting him in for an abdominal ultrasound as soon as possible, either tomorrow or Thursday. Even though it's expensive, we have to know what we're dealing with so we know what approach to take. I just don't want him so sick that he's uncomfortable.
At the moment, however, he is sitting on the lawn waiting for a mole to make its appearance. He's been hovering there for days.
And school starts tomorrow for Miss Hannah, and I have no massages till next Tuesday, and yes, my tendinitis is still bugging me and no, Jack's not back and probably won't be back. perceval the other day that it's almost as if his whole time being here didn't even happen. It's so weird.

Anyhow, I decided to buck the trend and not do that friends analysis meme going around. And at Academi Seren-Ci,sosirius started the fall term yesterday. I like teaching. I like teaching in the roleplay and I like teaching in real life, and that's that.
