Trip Report
Aug. 9th, 2004 11:04 amMy plane got back at 10:45 last night and I'm happy to say I'm done with flying for a while now. I don't enjoy it as much as I did when I was younger, mostly because it's such a hassle now.
But that's neither here nor there, and I was away and had a lovely time. I won't rewrite my trip report because if you didn't read it along the way, you won't want to read it now. But I did come home to find a very interesting email in my inbox this morning from my friend Debra in California, which sent me to this article in the New Hampshire papers. Very interesting indeed.
I brought Hannah back a set of magnetic birds and an origami peace crane; I got her the peace crane for her mostly because now she and her friend Matthew who lives all the way in Maryland both have one. I'm surprised to report that it's about 20 degrees hotter here than it was on the east coast, so go figure.
Astronomy-lover's alert: the Perseid Meteor showers peak this week. Night of the 11th/morning of the 12th. I'm going to try to stay up as late as possible to watch, and hope that the weather is clear and cooperates.
Now if my internal clock would just reset I'd be good to go.
