In other (completely PG) news, [livejournal.com profile] cedricsmistress and I went to see Cheaper by the Dozen. It was fairly straightforward, and I'm wondering if, as [livejournal.com profile] silvestri mentioned there is some hidden subtext in it about it not being all right for parents to live their dreams, or if in fact the message was that families make decisions as families.

Methinks it was the second, and Steve Martin is always fun to watch although he certainly played an incredibly beleaguered character. There wasn't as much humour in it as the story probably demanded, and there was a fair bit of stereotyping too, but... what the heck. Mostly benign, I think.

[livejournal.com profile] cedricsmistress wanted to see it for other reasons. Heh.

Didn't even get home till after five, so... rushing to get everything accomplished, and then I'm going to make soup of one kind or another for dinner, I think, because it's friggin' freezing out and they say snow again this weekend.

Where's my temperate rain forest gone?
