Well. Fuck-All!
Dec. 21st, 2003 12:01 amThought that would get peoples' attention. Fanfic alert: no more Queer Eye for the Straight Wizard this year. Sorry. But I will be posting a Marauder 7th-year Christmas story soon... working title is Christmas with the Dogs. Look for it on the Sugar Quill. I write as Lady Narcissa.
Okay, I'm watching Pirates of the Caribbean again because I can. I like how it starts out and seems so... serious and really, the whole thing has grave undertones. But maybe if I wear enough eyeliner I'll be as cool as Cap'n Jack. I'm almost there already, she said drolly.
Random Orlando Bloom thought: he's a passable actor but... nothing to really write home about, is he. I can just hear the Legolas fangrrrls calling for my neck in a noose over that one.
I'm going to see ROTK again next week, with my sweetheart this time. I see yet another trip to the movies with a couple of girlfriends during holiday too.
We decorated our yule tree tonight. It's a combination of lights, bird ornaments, and Harry Potter ornaments. There's a golden snitch on the top instead of an angel. (Hey, I copied it for Seren-Ci as well.)
I like Geoffrey Rush in this movie. The first time I saw it, I wasn't so hot on him. I'd just seen Quills a few nights before, and could only think of him as the Marquis de Sade, it wigged me out. But the more I see him as Barbossa, the more I like him. He's masterful.
So, here's the question: how late is too late to become an actor? It looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Not that there are any roles out there for 40-something massage therapists. But you never know. It was funny the day the production crews took over our tiny downtown to film 'Thumbsucker' - everyone turned out to watch. I wasn't working that day, which is probably just as well. It was utter mayhem.
All right. I'm sick of
sff_corgi not having a working PC. C, I hope it's all resolved tomorrow. Make the last day of a lousy autumn be the start of something way better. See you on instant messenger--we're overdue.
