So nice and quiet.
I woke up to nothing bad this morning.
It feels like a miracle.
And in a week, I'll be hanging around on the other side of the country with
sff_corgi, and I'm sure the time will go by way too fast. But it's my break away from everything and I even found treacle biscuits to bring. Move over, Hagrid... anyone else in South Florida want to try to get together for a cuppa, where I will try really hard not to give any massages?
It's a very gorgeous day here in Twin Peaks. We get that blue sky here that looks just like the opening of The Simpsons which is no surprise. There's a nice gentle breeze and temps will be in the mid-70s.
Seems perfect.
No one's calling to sell me stuff, no one's bothering me, my cat Jasmine is sitting in a patch of sunlight picking at her toes happily, the birds are singing, I took my vitamins, and even the really obnoxious kids in Hannah's class liked my Azkaban shirt. So there.
I will have to go to work in a little while, but that's okay. And I will have to work all day tomorrow, but that's okay too. Saturdays are lucrative days for us LMTs, and I will have days off next week for my trip.
Time to go get some long-lamented beta-reading done. I'd rather write my own stwff--ideas are percolating for Chapter Five of Draco, and I really want to finish my Sirius 7th-year fic--but I'm pretty good about meeting my obligations to other people too.
I wonder how many books I'll lug with me across the country and never read? Doesn't everyone do that when they travel?
