How I Spent My Weekend

In photographs.

On Sunday, we woke up to a dusting of snow.

My back yard.

The horses across the street. They hardly seemed to mind.

Our honeysuckle arbor with cotoneaster in berries.

There were many visitors. And they had a plan. TO BE CONTINUED.

On Monday, the snow was all gone. So we burrowed and became domestic.

We made a Dragon Age Found Cake, complete with the dripping frosting. No dog spittle, though.

Today, I woke up to a whole lot of very wet snow, the sound of branches on the massive Doug Fir across the street snapping and falling (quite dramatically) to the ground, and the power going off. So much for those travel plans!

It's a gray day.

We've had a mix of rain and snow all day. I took this from the floor, because why not.

Inside, it's fuchsia party time, apparently.

And finally, Yertle the Turtle Tabasco the Mighty, Queen of All She Surveys.

It's snowing and wet here as well, a day for being inside.

Aww, your kitty reminds me of the one I had growing up, Suzi. She was a tabby with a lot of apricot on her. I miss her.
