Your attitude towards movies from books is the same as mine, its a different medium so other things work. Though I do like figuring out what choices were made and the reasoning, that's why I loved all the behind the scenes stuff for Lord of the Rings, Peter Jackson explained why he did things and I liked that. I missed the first Deathly Hallows in the theater so I'm going to watch it and then one day this week go see this one.
I had such anticipation for the last book and I enjoy the movies but there isn't as great a need for me with them.
I'm curious and I've enjoyed them all in varying degrees. At the moment, I'm loving reading all the reaction posts as it makes me wonder what will strike me as I see it. I could have seen it today with Rick and some friends but I wasn't awake enough and hadn't watched the first one.
