Oh, hi

...what did I miss the past week? Tell me/link me/point me! Arizona & Nevada were gorgeous of course. More detail sometime.

(Happy birthday, Paul, wherever you are!)

Never too far behind, but usually under this rock o'mine.

Thank you so much G. :-D

Grand one. Family and friends have been very good to me this fine birthday. Not that I deserve it but hey, I'll take love where I can get it ; )

They should let you out to play once in a while, sir.

I couldn't agree more, but the hardest walls to scramble over are the ones I build. Too lazy to face the arrow sting arguments and general displeasure cannonballs, and the sighs of discontent spears in my side, without my headphone armor, tired sabatons and work excuse sword.

But still, it ain't as bad as all that. Just a whiner. Or a weiner. Or a weimaraner. One of those.

See ya soon. My shell is cracking.

So. Is that a threat or a promise? Or a wiener?

Did you and the kidlets ever read The Hallo-Wiener (http://www.amazon.com/Hallo-wiener-Dav-Pilkey/dp/0439079462/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1269996237&sr=1-1) by Dav Pilkey? It's such a great book. If not, you should.

My promises tend to get broken, and my threats ring empty, so it is a...better than worse than awful possibility. Moderately neato, not unwell in its prospects. Or rather, a wiener, avec Maille and Pinot Grigio.

Weimeraners are lovely.

The one memory I have of Weimaraners is from Sesame Street, when that photographer would dress and pose them as fire fighters or post office workers.

I was always amazed that such a big dog was so gentle and sweet.

William Wegman, Man Ray, Faye Ray and various other pack members - something about him and his dogs, they love posing for him. There's books of his photographs; I've got one right here that he shot of a litter Faye had, from when they were newborns, with his own comments of what the puppies taught him as well.

We had two Weimies when I was pretty much school-aged. Athena could have been Faye's sister, she was so photogenic. For all their fighting, she was heartbroken when her sister Gretchen had to be put down (due to complications from an injury) years before a natural end and her personality changed drastically.
