Drabble Me This

In honor of Valentine's Day, a writing challenge!

Rules:

Fandom: any fandom.
Word count: According to my sources, a drabble is precisely 100 words. No more, no less.
Main theme: What's love got to do with it?
Ratings: No restrictions.
Duration: Challenge opens now (February 12) and runs for a week. Closes at the end of day Friday, February 19.

A while ago I did an experiment in precise writing with ficlets of exactly 100 words and it was so much fun and I felt so accomplished that I decided to do it again. But I get bored looking at my own stuff, so... here you go. We should all be able to come up with 100 words in a week's time, right?

Post your fics as comments to this entry, or post them in your own journal and link to your story below. Feel free to do as few or as many as you want, and if you read one, be sure to leave a review or a comment. Everyone's welcome, so spread the word.

Oh, I like this a lot! I don't know the fandom or the characters, but it's perfect. You've got talent, just like G. :)

This: It was a bond formed by humans as a psychological compulsion in order to better raise their offspring, or a mysterious force that we'll never properly understand. is spot on.

And the last line... the last lines get me every time. :)

*hugs*

I got the latter. :)

also, I didn't have a word count mechanism either, but I Googled and found this site which works well and counts contractions as one word: http://www.wordcounttool.com/

And yours is exactly 100 words, so good counting if you counted manually!

:)

This sounds like the remnants too, except for the Father part.

Nicely done!

I thought I told you your mom was Jenova.

Sequel to the story:

The very next day, her son carried the Geostigma to a whole new world and watched in satisfaction as it killed everyone there. The stars rejoiced.

Ooh, this is great. Very bitter, very distant, very analytical.
