I'm really starving.

Do any of you ever watch Kitchen Nightmares?

Fuck.

If I ever see Gordon Ramsay anywhere near a restaurant where I'm expecting to eat, I'm heading the other way.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't seen that one...

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, it's like watching a fucking train wreck about to happen and you know there's nothing you can do to stop it. I'm sure half of it is staged for dramatic effect -- it's on FOX after all -- but still. It cracks me up in a horrified kind of way. My husband turned it on last night and promptly stopped paying attention, but I got so horrified I couldn't stop watching.

It kind of makes me never ever ever want to go out to eat again. And that makes me sad because I'm like... all about the culinary laziness.

Hope you're feeling better.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
...You realize this makes me want to go watch this show to see this train wreck, right? Such temptation!

And I can barely talk (so I hope no one calls me today) but my fever is lower. So, I'm counting all of that as a positive.

How are you doing?

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Today's weather: sunny
Today's mood: chatty

My family love it when I get laryngitis. It's the only time they can get me to shut up.

If you like a foul-tempered bossy chef who tries to fix everything with a maximum of swearing involved while stepping on every possible toe, it's the show for you!

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm already a quiet person though! And my sister teases me terribly when I'm like this. *already starts kicking her*

Never seen a show like that. If I remember, I'll check it out sometime. If not? Oh well~

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
If not, you won't have missed a thing and your life will be no less rich because of it.

So you're quiet in real life and yet you play ABBY? That's great.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL Surprising isn't it?

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I used to be quiet, sister, then I decided screw that shit, ain't no one listens to a guy if he just sits there all hmmmm and tall, dark, and four-eyed like some son of a BITCH I know.

(Oh. I guess I was having a Mugen moment.)

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
That was so perfectly Mugen. Haha!

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I ain't got no idea what you're talkin' about (http://damn-sunflowers.livejournal.com/profile).

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure you don't~

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Shit. I think he wants a new home to play in. I might have to find him one.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Keeping your muses happy is always very important.

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, your muses are cool. Wait, what the hell am I sayin'?

(One of these days I will have an IM conversation with you and ALL MY CHARACTERS AT ONCE. It will be like a party with surprise guests.)

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
A fabulous compliment!

...That would be awesome. I'll have to invite all of my muses to that party too!

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I used to do that IC chat thing a lot more than I do any more. Every now and then they escape and get demanding all over again, though.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
They don't always enjoy expressing themselves only in RP. Sometimes they want to talk everywhere else too. *nodnod*

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Look. I'm test-driving a new icon just for you.

How's musical Lestat doing? (I could just go look, but I'm lazy.)

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh~ New icon~ (I've been meaning to replace some of mine...)

Right now, he's talking/singing to Anita. It's actually a slow day RP-wise right now. Which is rather nice really.

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
The other night? That was insane. I had fun, though. I thought about tagging in, but I'm taking the day off from it, I think.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Fun insanity is the best kind really.

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
*knows nothing about insanity*

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh huh...And I have a personality to match all my characters too. XD

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually... I do. In some way, shape, or form, you'll find a little bit of all of my characters in me which... is kind of frightening.

Especially when I think about Mugen.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I think everyone does. That's how they connect to their characters.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh~ Lookie who!

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I've got a million of 'em.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah...Because I haven't already looked through your icons or anything~ *look of innocence*

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
r u a spy?

I have a tendency to go through every month or two and trash a bunch of icons and add new ones. Just to keep myself on my toes.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
No. I'm your friendly neighborhood stalker.

I do the same thing every so often. Of course, my personal journal isn't a paid account but oh well.

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 09:16 pm (UTC)(link)
My BFF Anonymous bought me a permanent account a year or so ago. I can't thank him, her, or it enough because I don't know who they are. Instead, I've been slowly paying it forward. What goes around comes around, or so whisper the voices in the jungle.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
So you have no idea who did it? That's really cool actually!

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I love that icon.

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
It's one of my favorites.

Gotta run! The day's about to get busy.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay! Take care!

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
That's my line.

[identity profile] neko142001.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Hehehehe~
ext_54943: (It are a fact)

[identity profile] shellebelle93.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I love that show.

:) I just don't think about it when I go out to eat.

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Out of sight out of mind? I'm still running if I see him anywhere in the vicinity. Because it means the kitchen is in serious need of a good slap upside the head.
ext_54943: (Default)

[identity profile] shellebelle93.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee! Yes.

The only way I will eat in the same restraunt as Gordon Ramsay is if he's COOKING. :)

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-12 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Now that I would do.

[identity profile] kit-the-brave.livejournal.com 2008-09-13 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
I've seen that show! It sort of makes me feel better about the congregations I've been in. At least the church isn't giving people food poisoning (hopefully).

I need Dreamcoat mom's "Don't let worry kill you - let the church help" icon.

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-13 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
That would be so sad if the church poisoned people! I mean, that'd be so Dark Ages of them.

*innocent*

[identity profile] sff-corgi.livejournal.com 2008-09-17 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
Wait wait wait, what is the gimmick of the show? He fixes kitchens, he investigates kitchens, what?

[identity profile] in-the-blue.livejournal.com 2008-09-17 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
It's the U.S.-based version of Hell's Kitchen: they send Gordon Ramsay in to failing restaurants to try to fix them up. Not necessarily physically -- although that's often part of what he does -- but he goes in to pistol-whip the staff into professional behavior.

I'm sure most of it is staged, but it's like watching a train wreck. Hard to look away.
