Bebop is Ed’s family. Ed has no family. Bebop is Ed’s family.
Ed used to have a father. Ed doesn’t know where he is now. He left Ed one day with Sister Clara at the orphanage and promised he would come back, but Ed’s father never came back. Ed’s father left her.
Ed’s real name is Françoise. Ed has never told that to anybody: not even to Faye-Faye, and Ed likes Faye even if Faye doesn’t like Ed so very much. If Ed had a big sister, she would want her to be just like Faye. And if Ed had a big brother, she would like it very much if he was like Spike.
Ed likes Spike. Ed only ever told that to Ein.
Ed wishes she could find her father-person. Ed thinks he is long gone. Ed used to lie in bed at night and wait for him to come back. Only he never did, and so Ed went looking for him instead. Ed was little, not thirteen yet like now. Ed didn’t find him but she did find Bebop-Bebop and Ed made a bargain with Faye, that if Ed helped Bebop then Ed would be a real member of Bebop.
Ed misses having a family. MPU does not make a very good brother.
Jet makes a very good mother, though. And Ein makes a good pet. Ed likes dogs.
