amberdulen has the first chapter of The Scarlet Raven on the Sugar Quill. I usually don't idly pimp the authors I work with, but this is such a fun and breezy first-of-seventeen chapters and it's a story that I not only like a lot, but found to be very well done. Go read when you get a chance.
